HMA Contracting Corp is a full service excavation and paving contractor serving the Eastern New York region from Newburgh, NY to the Canadian border. Our range of expertise includes installing various infrastructure projects on site and building developments.
We are highly automated with the latest laser and GSP equipment. The technologies allow us to efficiently and accurately move earth, install structures and pipe for sewer, water and storm water control. Above ground, the equipment greatly speeds up the layout and setting of parking lots, roadways, sidewalks and curbing. Highly technical jobs such as tennis courts, ball fields and running tracks demand the latest automated technologies to meet the demanding tolerances to which these type projects are engineered. Much of our construction machinery has control interfaces that take the layout information and easily turn out the finished product.
HMA provides services in many different industries. Our areas of service reach the General Contracting Companies like BBL Construction Services, Turner Construction, Pike, BA Construction and many more. On the institutional side HMA has many customers among the College and Universities in the East. SUNY Albany, Suny Oneonta, RPI, Union, Middlebury, Dartmouth and Skidmore have all benefited from the efficient operations of HMA. Included in the Institutional market are numerous public and private schools around the Capital Region, for example Shenendehowa, Bethlehem, Shaker, Saratoga Springs, Emma Willard and numerous others.
Our Municipal and State clients such as the Towns and Counties along the eastern corridor for New York have provided a steady market for our services. HMA is especially strong with asphalt paving in this market. The New York State DOT and OGS divisions have been annual sources for jobs and will continue to be more important as the nation’s and state’s economy pickup. Another strong market for HMA is in custom residential construction. Housing being placed on difficult soils or terrain is one of our specialties especially where retaining walls are required or lake front issues are present.
