Their crews were easy to work with, paid attention to the little details, and kept everything moving smoothly from start to finish. The final product looks great, and you can really see the pride they take in their work. Our condo community wanted to convert a Har-Tru tennis court to an asphalt surface with two Pickleball and one tennis court. Since we didn’t have detailed Engineering drawings and specifications, we looked for a company that was experienced with court installations. After a site review and discussion with HMA’s Jack Dearborn, we were confident that HMA was right for our project.
During the planning process we found HMA responsive and willing to make changes even when it required additional quoting effort. We were impressed by how well the crew members worked together and how well they knew their job; most had worked for HMA for many years, which is testimony to a well-run company. The project was completed ahead of schedule, and we are very pleased with the results.
The Town of Chatham extends its deepest thanks and appreciation to HMA Paving & Contracting for their extraordinary work in constructing the pickleball courts at our municipal park. They were excellent partners in a process that saw the Town entertain multiple designs to accommodate players of all abilities while being budgetarily responsible to its residents. During the Reconstruction of Iroquois Middle School project in Niskayuna, HMA had to install multiple underground stormwater retention systems, thousands of feet of new underground storm system piping and structures, a new bus loop, demo and rebuild an entire parking lot with over 200 spots, and work in Federally Protected Wetlands for stormwater system. The professionalism between the team in the field to the folks in the office should be commended. They were eager to get the job done to the highest quality, ahead of schedule, and always willing to help the School out. Even with the hectic schedule of the buses, student drop-off/pick-up, and deliveries, we never ran into any issues and always helpful if needed. Between the performance of their work, the dedication and reliability of their team, and the responsiveness to changes or requests, I look forward to having HMA on our projects in the future.
HMA was impressive on the Colonie Seniors project, and we look forward to teaming up again on more projects in the future. It makes it easy to do business together when we have a solid relationship, BBL is nothing without our subs and the relationships we have built.

During the fall of 2010,the Capital District YMCA contracted with HMA Contracting to perform large parking lot paving projects at four of our YMCA branch locations. From the very beginning, HMA was responsive to the special needs that were required to perform these projects while keeping disruption at our branch locations to a minimum. All work performed during this $370,000.00 contract, without exception, met or exceeded specifications set forth and agreed upon per the contract. This project started on the time and proceed throughout completion with no unnecessary delays or interruptions. HMA not only came in well under the set contingency budget ,they also produced finished parking lots that far exceed the quality of those that were originally constructed. HMA staff at each site was professional, helpful and attentive to any needs of CDYMCA staff during this project. I would, without hesitation recommend HMA Contracting and I am sure that the opportunity will present itself to work together on future projects.

Building in the Adirondack Park, and especially on Lake George, is a complicated process that involves multiple levels of regulatory approvals and constant oversight from a variety of interested parties. As a result of HMA’s attention to detail and coordination with other contractors involved in the process, the entire project proceeded smoothly and without issue, and my family was able to move into our new home in time to enjoy a wonderful summer on the Lake. It is uncommon to find a company that takes such pride in its work and provides such professional and courteous service.
