Questar III BOCES
Questar III BOCES delivers more than 275 educational and administrative services to 23 school districts in Rensselaer, Columbia, and Greene counties. Questar III provides hands-on learning from pre-kindergarten to adult learning.
HMA Paving & Contracting is proud to mentor these students and happy to help educate and allow hands on experience in the field.
Merit Apprenticeship Alliance
The Alliance is a consortium of more than 115 open-shop (merit-shop or non-union) building, heavy and environmental contractors. Since 2007, they are the most reliable and experienced multi-employer apprenticeship program sponsor for open shop contractors employing carpenters, operators, laborers, ironworkers, and cement masons. They manage the programs and compliance and provide the best apprentices for employment with HMA Paving & Contracting. Together we promote careers in construction and expand business opportunities.
Northeastern Subcontractors Association, Inc. (NESCA)
Northeastern Subcontractors Association, Inc. (NESCA) is a non-profit trade association representing over 500 Northeastern New York subcontractors, specialty contractors and material and equipment suppliers. Founded in 1971, NESCA is a full-service organization committed to serving the needs of commercial, industrial, and institutional subcontractors, specialty contractors and material suppliers located in the Capital District, Hudson Valley, North Country and Binghamton areas.
NESCA was established for four basic purposes; to provide its members with information, education, advocacy, and networking opportunities within the construction industry. Their influence has helped shape the landscape for construction workers here in our area and beyond.

Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce
The Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to helping both new and established members grow their businesses through professional development opportunities. Their training programs foster local talent by offering leadership development programs, continued education opportunities and economic development partnerships designed to serve specific target groups at all stages of the career path.
